A needlefree hemodialysis connector designed to protect patient catheters from contamination and reduce catheter-related blood stream infections (CRBSIs). A seven day microbial study shows the FlowArt® split septum needlefree valve, when used with an adequate disinfection procedure maintains its microbial barrier properties over a 7-day period and can be used to prevent catheter hub infection.
